Got two minutes to spare? I know how important it is for young people to have connections to a world bigger and more diverse than their own. We have strict policies that govern where we allow ads to appear and we enforce these policies vigorously. We think this change strikes a balance between maintaining a platform for free speech and living up to our responsibility to users. Can algorithms be optimized for learning, high-quality content, and positive intergenerational communication for young people?

We think this change strikes a balance between maintaining a platform for free speech and living up to our responsibility to users. Currently, the system relies on concerned viewers to flag offensive content. So I know first-hand how, today, the internet, online games, and a variety of emerging technologies can significantly benefit children and their experiences.
